Future Directions Task Force: Dear NSPE Board of Directors, State Society Presidents, and State Society President-Elects: The Future Directions Task Force (FDTF) recently presented its latest work to the Board of Directors at their April meeting in Alexandria. That presentation, in PowerPoint format, is attached for your information. The presentation includes the proposed new mission and vision statements, goals, objectives, and governance structure. The presentation also discusses the FDTF's work concerning practice divisions and the creation of a "jump start" fund to specifically assist states in meeting their members' needs. Also attached for your information is a draft copy of the table of contents for the final FDTF report to be presented in July 2005. Although the document is subject to change, it will provide you with a look at all the areas the FDTF has been addressing. Where you consider it appropriate, feel free to distribute these documents to your interested members so they can be informed.
