The
Mississippi Engineering Society and Sunbelt Sealing, Inc.,
of Jackson sponsor an Engineering Model Contest for Mississippi
High School Students. Each year students build models
of a specific structure, such as a bridge, tower, cantilever,
building frame, etc., which are load tested to determine
winners. Regional competitions are held in Oxford, Starkville, Jackson
and the Gulf Coast with winners progressing to a state
competition held in conjunction with the Society's Annual
Winter Meeting.
If you wish to enter this year's contest, a completed registration form must be sent to the following address by January 7, 2008:
