MATHCOUNTS
is a national coaching and competition program designed
to stimulate 7th and 8th grade students' interest and
achievement in mathematics. Approximately 100 schools
send student mathletes to participate in nine regional
competitions held throughout the state every February.
Winners progress to a state competition held in Jackson
in March, and the state's top four junior high math students
progress to the national competition held in May.
